“Roku’s rules got updated. New channels and any updates get judged by the new rules. If your channel is already live, you’ll face the new rules the next time you change anything.”
Packaging Your Roku/CTV Service & Launching Your First Client Campaign
We’ve covered building, branding, monetising, scaling, and selling Roku channels. Now it’s time to package your entire service into an irresistible offer and launch your first client campaign. This lesson brings it all together so you can go live confidently.
1️⃣ Clarifying Your Offer
Before you launch, you need a clear, easy-to-understand offer that answers three questions for your ideal client:
- What is it? — “A done-for-you Roku TV channel setup & management service.”
- Why should I want it? — “Reach millions of TV viewers, build authority, and open new revenue streams.”
- What will it do for me? — “We handle everything from channel design to content publishing so you can focus on your business.”
2️⃣ Structuring Your Packages
Create 2–3 packages so clients can choose based on their needs and budget.
Example Packages:
- Starter — Channel branding, feed creation, upload of up to 5 videos. One-time fee: £995
- Pro — Branding + feed + categories + up to 20 videos + monetisation setup. One-time fee: £2,500
- Pro Plus (Managed) — Everything in Pro + ongoing monthly uploads, analytics reports, and channel maintenance. £295/month
Tip: Always have a higher-priced “done-for-you + ongoing” package to create recurring income.
3️⃣ Creating Your Sales Landing Page
Your landing page should be short, simple, and focused on results:
- Headline: “Get Your Own Roku TV Channel — Without the Tech Headache”
- Problem: Explain the struggle of relying only on YouTube/social media.
- Solution: Present your service as the fast track to TV exposure.
- Proof: Show your own channel and client testimonials.
- Packages: Outline your 2–3 offers.
- Call-to-Action: Link to your onboarding/intake form.
4️⃣ Preparing Your Sales Funnel
You don’t need a complex funnel to start. Keep it simple:
- Traffic Source: Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, networking.
- Landing Page: Explains the service and benefits.
- Onboarding Form: Collects details from interested clients.
- Follow-Up: Email or call to close the sale.
5️⃣ Launching Your First Client Campaign
Now you’re ready to start reaching out publicly.
- Post on LinkedIn/Facebook about your service launch.
- Showcase your own Roku channel as proof.
- Reach out to your list of potential clients from Lesson 9.
- Run a small ad campaign targeting your niche audience.
6️⃣ Overdelivering for Your First Clients
Your first few clients are the most important. Make them your biggest fans by:
- Delivering faster than promised.
- Giving extra branding touches.
- Providing a short personalised video tour of their finished channel.
These clients will become your best testimonials and referral sources.
7️⃣ Tracking Results & Improving
After your first campaign:
- Track how many leads you generated.
- Note where those leads came from (so you can focus there).
- Adjust your pricing or packages if needed.
✅ Homework Before Lesson 13 (Graduation)
- Finalise your 2–3 packages and prices.
- Create or update your landing page with testimonials and proof.
- Prepare your first public post announcing your service.
- Launch your first small outreach or ad campaign.
In Lesson 13, we’ll focus on:
- Optimising your business after launch
- Expanding into Amazon Fire TV and other CTV platforms
- Preparing for advanced automation and possibly a plugin/app to scale
