Giving An Expiration Date
Scarcity is something that motivates people. Giving it an expiration date on when this will be available is very powerful.
With me, I make it true. I always put up two pages, at the launch I use salespage and I give a time that the offer is going to end. I never say this is going to end soon.
The scarcity will be that the offer is only going to last until the end date and time.
Once that date and time arrives, the salespage comes down and then when anyone clicks on the salespage link, the second page appears and on that page, all they see is the message…

When you use scarcity always, always make sure that it is true!
People are not stupid and they will realize that if your scarcity is not true this time, then next time you try it, it will not work, they won’t believe that the end time is a true end to the offer.
If you once go the untrue scarcity way, then it will never work for you again.
So, you want to make sure that you show that you actually do exactly what you said.
How many times have you seen an expiration date on and offer.
I do affiliate marketing and an example of this would be a launch where the vendor says “after this date ??? I’m taking this page down”.
Well, I utilize the fact the page is coming down, even if their email swipes don’t give it to you, I always add the date the page is coming down on those emails.
I always contact the vendor and ask if they are really going to take the page down on that date. (if they say no I will not promote that product)
When the vendor says it is a true date I know that I can push the scarcity on all my promotions, emails PPC etc.
