Neuralgia

This is damage to a nerve usually causing brief bouts of pain that may be severe and can often be felt as a pain shooting along the affected nerve. Migraine sufferers often have a form of neuralgia that are by way of intense pain around an eye. Shingles (Herpes Zoster) also causes a form of neuralgia (Post herpetic Neuralgia) to attack for months or even years after suffering from the shingles. This neuralgia is a burning pain that recurs at the same place where the shingles was sited.
